INVICTUS GAMES TORONTO 2017
In May 2016, Prince Harry announced that third Inviсtus Games will be held in Toronto, Canada. The 2017 event will take place from September 23 to 30 and will see more than 550 ill, injured and wounded servicemen and women from 17 allied nations compete in 12 adaptive sports.
Candidate in Master of Sports of Ukraine in archery. Dreams of representing Ukraine and the Ukrainian army in international competitions. .
Accomplished arm wrestler. Is going to Canada because he wants to help the Ukrainian team achieve victory.

Competed in the Heroes Games national cross-fit competition in Ukraine. Is working hard to be at a level where he can compete with athletes from other countries.
Master of Sports of Ukraine in polyathlon. Believes Ukraine has a strong chance of winning at the Invictus Games.
Enjoys archery and athletics. Continues to engage in sport after a severe injury because he wants to show that this is the quickest road to recovery.
Swam for several years. Believes that an injury isn’t reason to give up your favourite sport. Wants to inspire other Ukrainian veterans and show that Ukraine’s soldiers are strong physically and in spirit, and persevere despite life’s obstacles.
Champion of Ukraine in futsal, enjoys athletics. Returned to sport because he dreams of showing the world that Ukrainians are as strong on the sports arena as they are on the battlefield.
Used to compete in speed skating and Thai boxing. Took a while to return to sport after his injury, but didn’t give up and became an example for other wounded soldiers.

|01.11 – 31.12.2016||Invictus Games Team Ukraine: Call for applications Candidates for the Ukrainian national team to the Invictus Games could submit their online applications between November 1 – December 31, 2016. 177 veterans and active service members injured in the line of duty registered for the team tryouts. In response to strong interest, the organizing committee opened a new call for applications from January 25 to February 15, 2017.|
|16.01 – 25.02.2017||Medical examinations All candidates undergo a medical screening, during which a doctor assessed their ability to handle intense physical training given their injury or disability. The medical examination takes approximately 2 hours.|
