Community of the Invictus
The Invictus Games Community in Ukraine is a community of veterans and active service members who sustained injuries, trauma, or illnesses during military service and/or the defense of Ukraine, and who have joined the Invictus Games movement in Ukraine.
For more than nine years, we have been bringing together people with shared experiences and supporting their recovery through sport.
Our mission is to develop and promote a culture of adaptive sports as an effective path to recovery, as well as to encourage society and the state to create the necessary conditions for veterans’ rehabilitation.
We build our community on five core values:
- support, which is the foundation of successful recovery;
- empowerment, because everyone deserves dignified opportunities for rehabilitation;
- dedication, which helps achieve new goals;
- respect for the unique experience of each individual;
- courage, which inspires us to move forward despite any challenges.
