At the end of April, Lviv hosted the All-Ukrainian Invictus Games competition, which resulted in the selection committee forming a team that will represent Ukraine in Dusseldorf at the Invictus Games in September 2023.
It will consist of 24 participants.


The Invictus Games in Ukraine are the largest veteran adaptive sports competitions designed to create new opportunities for wounded and injured Ukrainian veterans and servicemen, supporting them on their way to physical recovery, psychological rehabilitation and social integration.


It is during the war that the conditions for the effective return of veterans to civilian life should be formed, and the rehabilitation and recovery system should be developed to offer an effective rehabilitation mechanism to all those returning from war.


In addition, sports veteran diplomacy and its impact on the international community cannot be overestimated. The voice of veterans is a direct testimony to the crimes of the aggressor and must be heard.

The Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine together with the NGO “Come Back Alive” and the Center for Strategic Communications “StratCom Ukraine” and the NGO “Games Invictus Ukraine” with the support of the intergovernmental working group are selecting and preparing the 2020 national team.
