INVICTUS GAMES. FROM THE INSIDE

The military radio station Army FM hosted a joint podcast with the Invictus Games in Ukraine, “Invictus  Games. From the Inside,” about the history and development of the adaptive sports project for wounded military personnel and veterans.

The podcast guests included the organizers of the Invictus Games in Ukraine, the support team, coaches, assistant coaches, communications specialists, psychologists, participants in national competitions and national teams from different years, as well as their families.

The author and host is the project’s journalist Daria Bura.

The purpose of the podcast is to tell how a Ukrainian team of military personnel and veterans with war injuries first participated in the Invictus Games, an international adaptive sports event, and how this project affects the rehabilitation of Ukrainian defenders; to show how this project is being created in Ukraine and what new opportunities it opens up for its participants; to tell about those whose work seems invisible, but thanks to whom the Invictus Games are possible in Ukraine.

The podcast will be useful for Ukrainian soldiers, their families, friends, and comrades. It will show the path to rehabilitation and new opportunities after injury. It will also be of interest to civil society as an example of the resilience of our defenders and those who need to be supported.The podcast can be listened to on Army FM and on all major platforms.
