Sports camps
One of the key areas of activity of the Invincible Games in Ukraine has become sports camps for military personnel and veterans. In November 2025, a sports camp was held in the Carpathians, organized by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine and the Stratcom Ukraine Organization (Invincible Games in Ukraine).
During the week, the participants of the sports camp:
got acquainted with adaptive sports – swimming, powerlifting, rowing on simulators, archery, cross-country skiing
took part in psychoeducational and rehabilitation classes
talked with brothers and sisters, being in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and support
Vasyl, a veteran, a participant of the camp shared his impressions: “I simply cannot convey the whole volume of positive emotions, the feelings that we gained here. Nothing can restore you in life better than being surrounded by your own people.”
Maksym Dolzhenko, a rehabilitation specialist and veteran, spoke about his interaction with the participants: “These people are very strong-willed. They demonstrate extremely strong-willed qualities. It is very easy to work with them.”
Next step — winter sports camp in the Carpathians
A winter adaptive sports camp will be held in the Carpathians from January 14 to 19, 2026. Participants will be able to choose one of three areas:
- mountain skiing
- snowboarding
- cross-country skiing
Training will be conducted by Ukrainian and British instructors, and the camp itself is aimed at beginners who have not previously engaged in winter adaptive disciplines.
Veterans and servicemen who have been injured or traumatized as a result of hostilities and have not yet participated in the Invictus Games sports camps or international veteran competitions are invited to participate.
The project is implemented by The Armed Forces Para-Snowsport Team with the support of the Invictus Games Foundation in cooperation with Stratcom Ukraine, Bukovel Ski School and the Association of Ski and Snowboard Instructors of Ukraine.
