Sports camps

One of the key areas of activity of the Invincible Games in Ukraine has become sports camps for military personnel and veterans. In November 2025, a sports camp was organized by the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine and Stratcom Ukraine Organization (Invictus Games in Ukraine) in the Carpathians.

During the week-long camp, participants:

  • got acquainted with adaptive sports – swimming, powerlifting, indoor rowing, archery, cross-country skiing;
  • attended psychoeducational and rehabilitation classes;
  • interacted with brothers and sisters in arms in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and support.

Vasyl, a veteran who participated in the camp, shared his impressions: “I simply cannot convey the extent of positive emotions and feelings that we gained here. Nothing can restore you in life better than being surrounded by people like you.”

Maksym Dolzhenko, a rehabilitation specialist and veteran, spoke about his interaction with the participants: “These people are very strong-willed. They demonstrate extremely strong-willed qualities. It is very easy to work with them.”

NextNext step — winter sports camp in the Carpathians

A winter adaptive sports camp was held in the Carpathians from January 14 to 19, 2026. Participants were be able to choose one of three activities:

  • alpine skiing
  • snowboarding
  • cross-country skiing

Training was conducted by Ukrainian and British instructors, and the camp was aimed at beginners with no previous experience in winter adaptive sports.

Veterans and service personnel who have been injured or traumatized as a result of hostilities and have not participated in the Invictus Games sports camps or international veteran competitions were invited to participate.

The project is implemented by the Armed Forces Para-Snowsport Team with the support of the Invictus Games Foundation in cooperation with Stratcom Ukraine, Bukovel Ski School and the Association of Ski and Snowboard Instructors of Ukraine.
