Training program for trainers

This is the first program in Ukraine with a multidisciplinary approach to training coaches to work with veterans in the field of adaptive sports that takes into account physical and psycho-emotional recovery. It is an initiative of Stratcom UA, Invictus Games in Ukraine, and Ukrainian and American specialists in partnership with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs and IREX Veterans Rehabilitation and Reintegration Program.

The goal of the program is to support and improve the skills of sports coaches who work with veterans with injuries, wounds or illnesses.

During the first trainiProgram highlights:

– The first training program in Ukraine with a multidisciplinary approach to training coaches who work with veterans through adaptive sports was developed and implemented;

– 145 participants from different regions of Ukraine underwent online program training, which included 11 lectures by leading specialists;

– 34 sports rehabilitation coaches successfully completed the course and acquired important skills for working with veterans;

– On October 18-19, 2025, a practical training was held at the Borodyanka Scientific and Educational Expert Center, where veterans and participants of the Invictus Games shared their experience of recovery through sports.
